  • (Aug 23, 2009)  Little west and north of Monticello, VA is the beautiful Shenandoah National Park.  It doesn't have towering mountains like the Rockies, nor impressive rivers, valleys or falls like Yosemite.  But it does have tranquility and colorful seasons filled with wild flowers, berries and smaller animals.  It is a place to hike, to ponder, and to relax.  read more ...
